Description:
| Technique: Transfer-print | Archaeological Notes: This pattern was identified at the Auckland Goal, where it was made by Livesley Powell & Co, and at Fort Ligar (Best 1992: 72, Pl. 24C; Brassey 1989: Fig. 10f), also at Victoria Hotel (Brassey and Macready 1994: 42). It comprises a Romantic scene with a ruined abbey, and was produced by a number of potteries (Coysh and Henrywood 1984: 15). |
