Description: Technique: Transfer-printArchaeological Notes: This pattern is a ?Greek Key? design that is distinct from the Antique pattern recorded below. Eight of the sixteen vessels recovered carried a transfer-printed mark with the pattern name and the maker?s initials ?D M & S S?. This mark cannot be assigned to a manufacturer (Figure 3.9). This pattern with the same maker?s initials has also been recovered at Butler Point, Mongonui, Northland (Brassey and Macready 1994:40).
